End of Feed-in Tariff Export tariff for new projects from 1 April 2019.

UK Government confirms end of Feed-in Tariff Export tariff for new projects from 1 April 2019.

The Government’s responded to the Feed-in Tariff closure consultation this week. The response confirmed that both the generation and the export tariff will close to new projects from 31 March 2019.

The response also included a 12 month grace period for 50 kWp + AD, hydro, Solar PV and wind projects suffering grid and radar delays at the suggestion of the REA. Ofgem have released their DRAFT: Feed-in Tariffs: Essential guide to closure of the scheme.

This covers Ofgem’s proposed administration of the closure of the FIT scheme to new applications from 1 April 2019, including the process for applying for a ROOFIT grace period.
