How does a biogas boiler work?
Biogas boilers combust biomethane gas to produce thermal energy. Unlike conventional gas boilers, the biogas doesn’t require any processing before being combusted in our biogas boiler solutions, so they work seamlessly with your AD plant.
The thermal energy produced can be used to provide heating or chilling. Capable of producing 85˚c – 95˚c hot water or pressurised steam for over 7,500 hours per annum – that’s an impressive 85% availability.
Our biogas boiler plants are purpose built, so the scope for connectivity, application and size are extensive.

Guide to Biogas Boilers
Skid Mounted – Ideal for those with an existing building to house the plant. Our skids are compact, containing all the necessary fittings, pipework and electrical wiring.
Containerised – The containerised option is a practical setup for remote boiler systems or sites without permanent structures. We can fabricate the containers to your needs – from compact 10ft fabrications to 40ft “twin” cascade plant rooms with cladding and personnel doors.
Our biogas boiler plants have a wide scope of application including:

– PAS 110 pasteurising

– Cooling fermenters and bright beer tanks
– HVAC cooling
Where possible and required, components of the plant will be ATEX rated and explosion proof.
Our biogas boilers and burners carry the CE mark, certifying they meet the highest EN safety standards. They do not carry an ATEX rating due to them being a permanent source of ignition.
With a fixed multiple gas detection system you will be alerted to gas leaks and emergency stops will be activated, providing another level of security to your site.
