38kW Fröling Pellet Boiler
This small business is saving around 3.5 tonnes of CO2 and over £2,000 a year in fuel costs since it switched from an LPG to Wood Pellet fuelled heating system.
The new system is located in a purpose built containerised plant room is connected to an engineering workshop and a 2 bedroom semi-detached house via pre-insulated underground mains. The Froling boiler supplies the engineering workshop with space heating via a hot air blower and domestic hot water is available instantly in showering facilities for the engineering staff.
The house has all of its space heating and domestic hot water needs met by the biomass boiler. The space heating is thermostatically controlled and the domestic hot water is instantaneous due to the large 1500L heat store. The wood pellets are fed into the biomass boiler using an automated suction feed, so our customers have very little to maintain – a simple emptying of the ash bin every few months is all that is required.
